Southern Star is Raleigh’s most versatile venue for social events. With 3 beautiful ballrooms featuring Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors, it’s designed to be elegantly neutral to make planning your event a breeze! We are an affordable space in a fantastic location that is open to outside vendors, which makes us truly unique. We offer a variety of packages to perfectly meet the needs of your event!

Opening in 2015, Southern Star was originally intended to be a center for creatives — providing a space for people to come, build community, and share their craft. Very early on, owner Shari Huggett-Milton saw another need that our space could meet: as a special events venue. After celebrating a number of special occasions with friends, family, and friends of friends, Shari decided to take the leap and expand the business into a special events venue. Over a short time, we’ve been able to host an array of celebrations. We love watching people share momentous occasions at our venue. We’d love to add you to our Southern Star family!
